Why Does Electric Bike Hire in Copenhagen Make Sense?

Copenhagen is already one of the world's most bike-friendly cities, and an electric bike makes the experience even better. You can move past traffic, cross bridges with ease, and arrive feeling fresh. Whether you are heading to Nyhavn, cycling out to The Little Mermaid, or exploring Vesterbro, electric bike hire in Copenhagen gives you the range to see more of the city without running out of energy.

The city's cycling infrastructure does the rest. Copenhagen has over 380 kilometers of dedicated bike lanes, and with an electric boost, you can easily extend your ride to discover neighborhoods you might otherwise skip.

Our E-Bikes

Our Copenhagen e-bikes are fully maintained and use pedal-assist technology, so the motor kicks in as you pedal and gives you an extra push whenever you need it. The battery gives you plenty of range for a full day of sightseeing. The bikes come equipped with lights, locks, and storage for your belongings.

Even if you have never ridden an e-bike before, they handle just like regular bikes, with the added benefit of making longer distances feel easy.

Recommended Routes

Copenhagen is a city that works well on an e-bike, and there are some routes that are especially worth exploring.

The Harbor Route

This ride takes you along the waterfront from the city center to Refshaleøen, a former industrial area that has transformed into one of Copenhagen's most interesting spots, with street food, cafes, and a relaxed atmosphere that is hard to find closer to the center.

The Lakes Loop

A scenic route that winds around three interconnected lakes just west of the city center. It is one of the calmer rides you can do in Copenhagen, popular with locals and easy to follow. You can extend it to include Frederiksberg Gardens or push a little further north into quieter residential neighborhoods that most visitors never reach.

Amager Beach Park

A great option if you want to venture a little further out of the center. The route takes you through some of the city's newer districts before opening up to a long stretch of beach and open water. The electric assist makes the distance feel easy, and on a clear day the views across the Øresund toward Sweden make it well worth the ride.

Combine Your Rental with a Guided Tour

A good way to get the most out of your time in Copenhagen is to combine an e-bike rental with one of our guided tours. An e-bike tour of Copenhagen gives you a solid introduction to the city. You will learn the layout, discover spots you might not find on your own, and get comfortable on the bike before you head out independently.

Your rental days are then there for everything else. You can go back to places that caught your eye, follow a route on a whim, or simply ride wherever the city takes you. If you are looking for bike tours of Copenhagen more broadly, we offer several guided options that pair well with a rental.
