Where do the tours start?
All of our tours start from our shop at Holbergsgade 12, 1057 Copenhagen. It is just down the road from Nyhavn (the street with all the bright colorful buildings). Please make sure to arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the tour. Your guide will check you in inside the shop.
What attractions do you cover?
Each tour is different and we make no guarantees that a certain attraction will be visited any given tour. However, as a general rule, we will during our 3-hour tour City Highlights tour strive to cover The King´s Garden, Nyboderne, The Little Mermaid, The Gefion Fountain, St. Albans Church, The Royal Palace of Amalienborg, Nyhavn, The Inner Harbor Bridge, the canals, Christiania, Christianshavn, The Old Stock Exchange and Christiansborg Palace. On the 1.5-hour tour you can expect to see just about half of the above mentioned attractions. However, if there is a certain sight or attraction that you would really like to see, please feel free to ask the guide before the start of the tour.
What level of biking-skills is required?
In order to participate on one of our tours, you must have experience in riding a bicycle. All are welcome, who can bike at a fairly slow pace in a foreign urban environment. These tours are by no means designed as a type of workout. All tours will be at a fairy slow and steady pace, in order for you to appreciate the surroundings.
Is it safe to bike in Copenhagen?
Yes. When you arrive in Copenhagen you will quickly discover how bike-friendly the city is. The main concern in terms of bike-safety, when doing a tour with us, is the other cyclists around you. Before the start of our tour, we will go through a couple of basic safety-rules to follow when we hit the road.
Do you provide helmets?
We do provide helmets. Just ask one of the staff for a helmet before your tour.
Will there be food and beverages on the daily tours?
We do not serve either food or beverages on the tour, however you are more than welcome to bring your own with you, as long as you are able to bike. You are able to buy beverages and small snacks at our shop before your tour if you would like.
Are children allowed on the tour?
No. The tours are not suitable for children or people with poor health.
What if it rains?
Here in Denmark, we are used to the unstable weather conditions. Therefore, in case of light rain, we will still conduct the tour and provide rain-ponchos to all participants before the tour. In case of expected heavy rain, the tour will be cancelled, and you will have the option of going on a similar tour another day or  a refund. Pleasecontact usin case in case of expected heavy rain on your tour.
What kind of bike will we ride on the tour?
For the tour, we provide comfortable 3-gear city bikes that are easy to handle.

Booking

Do I have to book in advance?
Yes, all tours must be booked in advance. You can either choose to pay at the time of your booking or wait with payment until before the start of the tour.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations requested at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled departure are refunded in full. Cancellations requested between 3 and 6 days in advance of the scheduled departure are refunded 50 percent. Cancellations requested within 2 days of the scheduled departure are not refunded. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to contact@citybikeadventures.com
